Curious C: What is “Displacement Ventilation”?

Designer: This is displacement ventilation. Displacement Ventilation is an air distribution system that supply air is blown from the lower level (or at floor) and rise return air grilles in the ceiling.

Curious C: What’s the advantage of using this air distribution system?

Designer: Hot air rises. Because the supply air is delivered at floor level, close to users, it does not have to be cooled as much, therefore saving energy.

Curious C: Thanks! I am curious no more.
